Is there a way to create a custom port to monitor?

Q: It looks like I can only monitor using your built in monitoring types. Is there a way to create a custom port to monitor?

A: You may use the generic "TCP" or "UDP" monitor types to check services listening on any custom port. Just specify the port number in the monitor properties:
