Frame Relay Interface Port Default Compression P Retry Count

The default P-Retry-Count for negotiating mode 1 compression as described in Frame Relay Forum Data Compression Implementation Agreement FRF.9 This object controls the default value for P-Retry-Count for an unconfigured (dynamic) virtual circuit. This object represents the number of retries before giving up on the negotiation phase and not running compression on the virtual circuit.

The threshold alarm value for the total Frame Count. Valid ranges are 2430 to 250000 with a default values of 8920 for 4 Mbps and 33890 for 16 Mbps ring speeds.

This counter shall increment only when the multicast bit is set in the destination MAC address of a successfully transmitted MSDU. When operating as a STA in an ESS, where these frames are directed to the AP, this implies having received an acknowledgment to all associated MPDUs.
