The value of prtInputIndex corresponding to the default input sub-unit: that is, this object selects the default source of input media. This value shall be -1 if there is no default input subunit specified for the printer as a whole. In this case, the actual default input subunit may be specified by means outside the scope of this MIB, such as by each interpreter in a printer with multiple interpreters. Additional information: The default input tray is determined by the printer based on DEFAULT-MEDIA-SIZE and DEFAULT-MEDIA-NAME. If multiple trays have qualifying media, tray 1 is selected first, then the non-empty tray with the highest capacity is selected; trays of equal capacity are selected by lower tray number. Trays 1-3 refer to the printer's trays that are so labeled. Tray 4 is the first tray of the first external input paper handling device.
