This attribute indicates the type of the address at the destination interface. Provisioned addresses are assigned a type of primary or alternate; ATM routing will try primary routes and then the alternate routes if none of the primary routes succeed. The type registered is used for dynamic addresses registered through ILMI. The type default is used for Soft PVC addresses.
