1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.3.9.4.2.1.1.2.5

To bring the PDL processing sub-system on or off line. If the device is a printer, then the printer does not process print job data when the printer is off line. PML communication persists. Additional information: When the printer is in the Offline state, printing will stop as soon as possible (no more sheets of media are pulled from input trays). The I/O is taken offline also. Setting to eOnline has the following affect: Printer will immediately go to or remain in the Online state; status is returned. If the printer's current state is Offline with a pending error condition that prevents the printer from going to the Online state, the printer will remain in the Offline state; status is returned. Setting to eOffline has the following affect: Printer will immediately go to or remain in the Offline state; status is returned. If pages are being printed, those pages will complete with the printer in the Offline state. Setting to eOfflineAtEndOfJob has the following affect: If not in a job or already in the Offline state, the printer will immediately go to or remain in the Offline state; status is returned. If in a job and the current state is Online, the printer will remain in the Online state, with the value of this object as eOfflineAtEndOfJob, until the end of the job; status is returned. At the end of the job, the printer goes to the Offline state and the value of this object becomes eOffline. Setting this object to eOffline or eOnline before the end of the job causes the action for that value to be taken immediately.
