Network bottleneck

There are cases, such as network congestion, when network efficiency rapidly decreases due to certain factors involved, such as retransmitting a large number of packets through multiple interconnected hubs.

Network bottleneck is a certain network segment, device etc., which under certain circumstances can become the device that limits the overall network efficiency. When planning network structures, such scenarios should be taken into account and network in general should be built to avoid bottleneck formation.
